Hello beer aficionados
This is the part where I describe myself? I’m a 30-something year old beer-lover from Vancouver, BC.
I drum, unprofessionally. I sing like shit, also unprofessionally. I love video games. I work out 4-6 times a week. LOVES me some beer….
On a whim recently, I decided to buy different beer every single time I went to buy beer. Why? I really don’t have the foggiest. I just snapped I guess. Budweiser broke my brain. Anyhoo, I decided to post up on Facebook mini review-rants about what I think of these oddball beers I’ve been trying, and they actually got over! WEIRD RIGHT? People actually messaged me, telling me that they really ENJOY my rambling and sometimes they get a laugh! Blew my fuckin’ mind. Well that was motivation to keep it up, and then I found that I actually enjoy making up these little rants.
Then a friend of mine said I should ramble here. So, here I be, to ramble, unto thee.
I have zero writing training or any of that junk. English 12 is what I have. I got an A, so I got that goin’ for me. I am fairly well-read and try to adhere to common literary rules while expanding my vocabulary. Expect tons of odd references from all manners of pop-culture, music, sports and anything else that happens to float through my cortex.
I don’t follow the “code” for reviewing beer, I’ll fuckin’ shit on a beer that sucks and I make no apologies. I won’t destroy beer types that I just ‘don’t like’, because I know not all beer types are for me. It’s unfair to rate every Dunkle as a 1.5 just because I don’t like the style.
If I know I don’t like the style, I simply do my best to rate the beer from a technical stance. Or I just make a bunch of wisecracks and post song lyrics I like.
I hope you enjoy them.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr meh

I’m not a professional but a practicing amateur, importantly if you don’t like a beer you have to say so, after all it is your money and you are drinking it.

Not sure if you are interested in beer type events but one of your “followers” told me about your blog so here I am to tell you about BeerBQ…a fun beer and BBQ event this summer on a Sumas Prairie hop farm! Pitmasters and Brewmasters are teaming up to “pair” their food and their beer. I can send you a news release about who is coming or you can check it out at http://www.bchop.co. Let me know what you think of the concept!

Unfortunately I cannot attend the July 16th events because of a wedding. Sounds like a great time though and I’ll keep my eyes open for the one in October!
